| On 28 September 2009, CROSQ welcomed a new member of staff to the team at the Secretariat. Gina Teemul-Tash, a national of Trinidad and Tobago, joins CROSQ in the newly created position of Technical Officer - Metrology. Mrs. Teemul-Tash holds a BSC in Computing (with Honours)from the University of Greenwich and is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate from the University of Bradford. A former employee at the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS) for the past fifteen years, Mrs. Teemul-Tash worked in the areas of Standards Implementation and Laboratory Testing Services, and most recently held the responsibility for Industrial Metrology in the position of Standards Officer / Calibration Services Unit Supervisor in the Metrology Division. While at TTBS, she was instrumental in coordinating and supervising all the activities of the Calibration Laboratory Unit at the Bureau, providing her with ample experience to bring to her new role of Technical Officer - Metrology at CROSQ. In this role, she will be responsible for the technical work in CROSQ in regional development and harmonization in the area of Metrology. Mrs. Teemul-Tash plans to play a major role in development of Metrology in the region and feels that her experience would assist her in the execution of her duties. |
