Primary Responsibilities:
The Technical Officer (TO) of CROSQ is primarily responsible for the technical work of CROSQ in regional standards development, harmonisation and implementation. The TO is also responsible for facilitating the development and training associated with needed standards infrastructure; in conformity assessment, metrology and certification. As Technical Officer, Ms. Sirju shall be responsible for facilitating the work of CROSQ in respect of effective harmonization of metrology systems and standards within the region, among other things.
Background:
Ms Sirju is a national of Trinidad and Tobago and a former officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS) where she served as Head, Laboratory Services Division, prior to assuming this position. She possesses a wealth of work experience in industry, process plant and consultancies including seven years in standards organisation. Her training includes a BSc in Life\Natural Sciences and M.Phil in Oilfield Chemistry and Environmental Biogeochemistry.
